I second the Stila stay all day. Two of my favorite colors are firenze and patina, though they have a lot of other great nude shades. It’s a bit drying, but I don’t find it to be as bad as Kat Von D. I do like Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, but they just seem to be a bit more drying.

Stila is fairly transfer-proof and lasts a long time before having to reapply. I’d say I can go about 5 hours before I see the slightest signs of wear.

A friend of mine sells lip sense and swears by it, but its so expensive! Especially since I dont typically wear lip color and really only need it for my wedding day.

I looked up lip sense alternatives and found Covergirl Outlast, I’ve been testing out a few colors this week. It says it can last up to 24 hrs, I havent had it last that long but it stays on for a good  9+ hours depending on the color. It’s kiss proof, smudge proof, wedding proof! It literally stays on your lips and doesnt even leave lip color marks on drinking glasses or anything! Best part is its only $10.

You put the color on and leave it for 1 minute, then it comes with a separate stick of lip stuff (its clear, like lip chap) to keep in moisture and refresh the moisture throughout the day. I’ve never had a problem with dryness.

So thats my suggestion, Covergirl Outlast!

Love Kat Von D liquid lipstick, but just tried Tarte Lip Paint and I’m actually obsessed.

Looove the sephora matte lip stains – my favorite shade is called vintage rosewood.

I love MegaLast Liquid Catsuit by Wet n Wild. Under $5 and stays on all day! Most lipsticks fade after a few hours on me and give me a gross “ring” on the edges of my lips but not this stuff! I have the colors Rebel Rose and Nudist Peach and love them both.

I’ve been wearing maybelline super stay 24 hrs for years and it’s pretty much completely transfer proof. I’m so used to wearing it and not having it transfer that I once wore a bright red color on a day I was having my teeth cleaned. The dental assistant seemed a bit curt to me at first, then in the middle of the cleaning she told me she had to know what kind of lipstick I was wearing because when she saw me she was sure she’d end up with red lipstick all over her latex gloves and they were completely clean!

cyntharella :  I’m not familiar with the old formula. If I wear it everyday, then by day 8-9 my lips feel dry. As for drying day of wear- no. You do have to let the layers dry between coats and only apply in one direction. Then apply the gloss to seal.

I use only two layers even though three is recommended. I find the third layer is a bit much. I also carry the gloss with me and reapply about every 4 hours, maybe this is why I don’t feel any drying. You wouldn’t apply new color over old color without fully removing the old, otherwise you’d have chipping and peeling.

My favorite is also LipSense. Disclaimer – I’m a distributor as of Feb of this year. However, I tried the Maybelline super stay, Wet and Wild and a few other products before finding LipSense and the difference was crazy. One thing that bugged me about the other products I had tried was that while the color mostly stayed on my lips, it would chip off on glasses and napkins throughout the night.

I haven’t tried some the other products mentioned above (Kat Von D) so I can’t comment on those. Yes LipSense is pricier but for me it was totally worth it. Whatever product you choose, I’m sure it will be perfect for your big day! I hate that there are so many options ha ha! Good luck!

I’m not a fan of the lip color + shiny top coat lip products. The best liquid lips I’ve tried are Dose of Colors, Kat Von D, and the few I’ve tried by Too Faced are pretty nice. For me they’re all super comfortable on the lips. Dose of Color is my fav though!

I like the Rimmel Provocalips line of 16 HR Lipstick. Their color range is pretty slim though…

I also swear by the rimmel provocalips lip stain. Three course dinner, bottles of wine and hours of kissing later it was still on. Removing it in the morning was a struggle though. The lighter colours look a little weird after a couple of hours but the reds stayed on perfectly. It does feel a little dry after a while but it does come with a lip balm you can use.

cyntharella :  I second Sephora lip stain. Lipsticks never stay on for me n they dry my lips so I only use gloss. About a month ago I tried Sephora lip stain n topped it with my colorless lip balm n walked around n it didnt dry and it didn’t rub. Actually even if u want to take it off it doesn’t come off 😬 I just bought it yesterday

I’ve just started using LipSense and so far I’m pretty impressed…I have dry lips and almost every other “long wear” thing dries them out and peels, but so far LipSense has been pretty moisturizing.  I also prefer a satin finish, so the glossy topcoat is ok with me.  I am still learning how to best apply it, so I do notice a bit of wear on the inside of my lips, but it stays really well for the most part!

cyntharella :  I tried too many different options before the wedding.  😂 Eventually I found one I loved and it stayed for my whole wedding and reception.  Sephora brand lip stain…fairly inexpensive and some good color options.
