Oh man bees… I have hit a wall too deep to push through and too tall to climb, I swear. I just want a nap SO bad!!! I’m l l <—- THAT close to when I get off work at 4:30, letting my dogs out, laying down, and not caring what they chew up or potentially destroy while I blissfully sleep. UGH. (I wouldn’t really do that since we have a puppy and she could chew something harmful to her… but its sooo tempting.)
So, where are your favorite places to nap? My freshman year of college, in my dorm room, we had those beds you could jack up really high to store stuff under. And that put the bed right at the window in my dorm. And in the afternoon, the sun would hit that window JUST RIGHT, even in winter! And I had an afternoon break at least 3 days a week… My roommate at the time and I would curl up on our sides and nap in the sun like KITTIES. It was pure bliss….
I seriously miss that napping spot. Now the best place is in my bed at my current apartment, but honestly, I normally hate napping in my bed! I don’t want it to be like I am going to sleep for the night. And I hate napping when its winter, unless I can truly nap in the middle of the day. Something bothers me about going to sleep for a short time when its sunny out and waking up when its dark. (Another reason to despise winter T___T )
Also, I usually can’t nap for just the recommended 20-30 minutes. I better leave two hours to be safe lol.
What are you favorite napping spots and habits?

It is not uncommon for me to take 4 hour naps! Ugh, I wish I didn’t require so much sleep.

@Sunnyday278: I am a consummate napper…for me, it isn’t about time of day, year, location or length…its about who I’m with. My puppy and I take what Mr. 99 had named Snuggle Naps, when we’re together during the day.
My little guy climbs up on my chest, snuggles his face in my neck, Mr. 99 throws a blanket over us and that’s the end of it….we sleep anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours and as long as I know that Mr. 99 is in the house, I don’t wake up.

My favorite place to nap is in the sun outside on the grass in the summer. I’ll seriously go lay on a towel in my fron yard, fully clothed and go to sleep.

@Sunnyday278: I am a terrible naper (is that a word)? Once I am down I’m done for the day. I envy those that can take quick cat naps and wake up feeling refreshed.
At home I love to nap either in my heavenly down wonderland of a bed or on our swing on the porch if it is a good day. Honestly though my dream napping place would be a blanket in a park listening to the trees and grass swish and birds chirp.

Our last couch looked nice but was so uncomfortable for lying down, so when we moved we bought a couch that has extreme nappability. I take a nap on it probably once a week, usually for 30 minutes to an hour. I love naps but hate when I nap for so long that it keeps me up at night.

I’m big on weekend naps. I actually snuggle up with Dear Daughter in my bed and we take a 1-2 hour nap on Sunday after brunch!

Ugh, I love napping. I was so good at it (and had so many opportunities) during college. Now, I usually end up napping on the couch. I’ll just fall asleep while watching TV. Unfortunately, this is a very rare occurrence nowadays. I miss napping.
…and thanks to this post, all I want to do when I get home is nap.

I cant nap! I so wish I could but if I take a nap and wake up I always feel terrible physically and all disoriented when I wake up! Like @Treejewel19: when I’m down to sleep I’m down for the night!

I don’t nap often but when I do I’m out for at least an hour, sometimes two. The best places to nap are in my bed or on the couch — I love to be piled under blankets and pillows.
Darling Husband, on the other hand, can nap anytime, anywhere. He usually naps every day for about 30-45 minutes. I don’t know how he does it. I’ve even found him napping on the floor a few times, and I’m just like…why? There are so many comfy places to curl up and you choose the floor?! Whatever, it works for him. Actually, I think he is napping right now…

I almost always nap on the couch. I have some lovely warm throw blankets and usually sit down to watch TV or catch up with emails and before I know it I just lay down and turn everything off. I love the quiet time and sometimes it’s the best sleep I get. I often sleep for right around 2 hours.
Sometimes I nap in my bed but usually only if I am really not feeling well.

@Treejewel19: I looooove napping in the sunshine thats coming through a window or something. If I am outside and its a really hot day then I am too uncomfortable to actually nap nap, but there’s something about a glorious sunbeam… ahhhhh…
I can’t nap now anyway because unless my puppy is in her kennel or occupied by my Darling Husband, she has this LOVELY habit of slamming into you with her nose. It’s like she’s headbutting you. She doesn’t lick, or gently sniff, no just run up and BUMP! and then keep it there for a few seconds. NOT pleasant lol.

I love naps. Whenever I feel like I’ve hit a wall but am at work and can’t nap, I look at Nap Kitty (below) and she somehow makes me feel better.

I sooooo want to nap right now! I’m a teacher and I’m on my prep period right now… All I want to do is sleeeeeeeep!

I love naps. I usually have a 20-30 minute nap in the morning after my daughter goes to school, and sometimes another in the afternoon (I work from home). It’s so nice to curl up under a warm blanket and just sleep a little. I need so much sleep that I find it really hard on days that I can’t nap.
