UK-bee :  You ladies look SO CHIC! I am hoping to find a simple sheath dress too. Thanks for the Jesus Peiro recommendation! I will add him to my list ๐Ÿ™‚

I love ‘simple’ dresses! The Olbia (above) is by Pronovias. Not sure if this is what you’re looking for. It is simple in the front, but has a lace back….. so not completely plain

edited to add… Pronovias has a whole lot of simple gowns, so you might want to check out their website ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this one, too! This one is by San Patrick, which is somehow or another related to Pronovias ๐Ÿ™‚

OP, your dress is stunning! So are all the others in this thread. I’ll be wearing the Daria by Theia (pic attached). My favorite plain celebrity dress is Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s.

chachamaru :  I absolutely love it!!!  So slinky and glamorous.

I love plain wedding gowns and find them classier and more timeless than the ones with oodles of embellishments.  They also showcase the bride herself instead of distracting from her.  My favorite is probably my own, the Carolina Herrera Mason.

I also love Carolina Herrera’s Aubrey (which I almost picked instead) and Arielle:

I also really liked Leanne Marshall’s Gabrielle dress:

Oh, and plenty by Amsale, Romona Keveza, and Pronovias. :-p

In my heart of hearts, the wedding gown to define all wedding gowns is the Sound of Music wedding gown.  No lace, no glitter, long sleeves, high collar.  Completely unadorned.  But I challenge anyone to say it’s frumpy.  This is what a properly fitting gown looks like.

I mean, yes, sure, it’s young Julie Andrews, she could look good in anything, this is why the “ugly dress” gag at the beginning of the movie confused me as a child.  “What do you mean ugly?  She still looks like a beautiful lady!”

Seriously, Hollywood lighting aside, is this not the look we all really want as we go down that aisle?  Whatever the aisle might be, fancy church, beach, grass, normal floor – but glowing and poised and so perfectly put-together?

*sigh*

I did add a belt but otherwise mine was completely plain – and I love that about it!
