Hey there! This is my first post on the boards.
I’m getting married on August 29th 2016 (it’s a Monday! My fiancé and I are stage actors and Mondays are our industry day off), and we’ve booked a good deal of our vendors……. However, we don’t even know where to begin to look for decor. We have the cards of a few decor vendors we met at the Bridal Show this past weekend, but some of them are so crazy expensive and didn’t seem very pleasant either at the show.
Do any of you have decor vendors that are reasonably priced and nice to work with??

I was having trouble with decor too. Lots of vendors are event ‘designers’ and charge big bucks. There aren’t a ton of decor rental places close to the GTA. I found one lady out in Peterborough but she charges stupid prices and you have to pick up and drop off rental items.
My amazing florist has some really nice decor rentals, she will also deliver and do a late night pick up (which was key for us). For flowers we’ve hired Becky from Blush and Bloom. My advice would be to call around and see which florists also have decor inventory. Our wedding planner also has some items for rent (chalk boards, easels , frames etc).
As for linens and draping etc. we’re going the old fashioned route and we’re going to rental from Susan Murray International.

Hi! We discovered yummicandles which is a Canadian company based in Missisauga that sells wholesale candles, candle holders, and some accessories (like bud vases). The prices are very reasonable, just make sure you order to the store (on Queen St. W) or pick up from the Missisauga warehouse (they charge crazy!!! amounts in shipping).
We also found a florist who is willing to do our flowers without a minimum spend of 2000 or 3000 dollars (which is surprisingly difficult to do) called ‘Coriander Girl’ based in the Junction area.
Chairman Mills also has a great selection of chairs and furniture rentals. Finally, stores like PartyCity carry printed paper straws, bubbles, and favor packaging which is all reasonably priced.

Are you looking for a person to supply and set up your decorations for you. Some one to organize your gift table supply card box, table chart sign on book or are you looking for just decotaions an you will display then yourself.
Chair cover people will generally put your chair covers on for you, put up a drapery backdrops and put decortive table linens on the tables, hang tiki lites on head table for you.
Florist will put all your flowers on the table for you
Cake person will display your cake for you.
You can hire or have your bridesmaid display seating cart, card, box and other items for your sign in table.
At the chaple your florist will display your flowers for you if you are having any church flowers. If you want more decoration for the church you can hire someone to do this for you or have the groomsmen do this.
If you are looking for someone to do your setup and co-ordinate your wedding for you try one of these 2 people there prices are pretty fair.

Try Luxel Decor. I’m using them for my wedding and my brother and SIL used them for their wedding in October 2014. Their main office is in Vaughan. They’re really good and their prices are pretty good too! There is also Decor With Grandeur as well and they are located in Vaughan too and I think they have another show room in Mississauga.
