Awesome!! I am trying to reach 130 (a cardiologist I saw said that would be a healthy weight for me). I am training for a half marathon and trying to workout at least 5 times a week. My Fiance finally started getting serious about losing weight so we workout together.  I do my cardio alone then I do weights with him…talk about tough. How is P90X?

My fitness goals are to tone everything up so I look in shape and to be able to easily run a 10K I signed up for.

I go to the gym everyday after work. I left weights for about 30-45 minutes and then I run for 2 -3 miles. Sometimes I go on the exercise bike if I am not feeling like running because I get bored easy. Now that it is warm out I will start running outside a couple times a week.

@newenglandgirl:  I know what you mean about boredom.  I usually do intervals and it makes it not so boring for me when I run. I used to love riding the bike. I did a spin class at the gym…well it is called RPM and I loved it! Except I hurt my knee so I quit going.

Sculpting and toning at this point.  I’m happy with my weight, just not happy with my belly!

@September29Runner:  Intervals are actually a much easier and healthier way to run. I taught at the running room for several years walking and running clinics from learn to run to half marathon.

I am in bad shape right now but my goal is to loose 5 pounds by May and to just feel healthier.

Right now I started doing some fun stuff on the wii and I take the dog for longer walks.

I would ideally like to be 130 on my wedding day.

I have until June 15 2013, but I’m not sure if I’ll make it.

I started the year weighing 334, and I’m currently down to 298.

I’ve been doing Insanity workout and eating a low carb, high protein diet.

My fitness goal is to get to the end of the year and think “I cannot believe that last year I did ZERO exercise!”

I’m pretty happy with my weight. I could be more toned, though, and that will come with the exercise (hello my brand new firm thighs!), but my main goal is to just get fitter and healthier.

I’m 25 and I’ve never done any exercise in my life. The most I got to it was dancing when I was 15. I haven’t done any since. I ran for a bus last year and I was nearly sick with exhaustion. I knew that if I didn’t sort myself out I’d be a complete mess!

So now I do military bootcamp and zumba. Zumba was my absolute saving grace. I loved it so much and quicky saw my stamina increase so I figured I’d give some more intense exercise I go. Now I’m weight training and absolutely loving it!

I will definitely get to the end of the year and achieve my goal. I’m so excited about the results. It will mean a much fitter and healthier me for good!

I’ve lost about 15lbs so far and ideally I would like to lose another 30lbs before mid-August (or whenever my last fitting is) but at least another 20lbs or so…

@naturalysam:  Really! Well I’m glad to hear that! A friend of mine told me just to run and do slow continuous run, but I just get bored at times and I want to do something different.  I will start out with a mile at a comfortable pace then the next 2 or 3 I do intervals. I feel like I get a better workout that way.

Miss Orchard Congrats!

@September29Runner:  Oh you can run a half marathon and never once in your training run more than 10 minutes straight. Ive seen many normal people run a 2 hour half marathon training 3 times a week (2 days cross training) all with intervals. If your into this type of running the Running Rooms owner has published some good books about it.

I just went for a 2.3km walk with the puppy yay. Tomorow the plan is a 3km walk.

@naturalysam:  Thanks so much for that! LOL At lunch I was actually telling my friend I was super nervous about running the half. Then I read on one of the boards the other day one girl ran/walked her half and it seems a lot of people do that. Or maybe it was a 5K either way she said she did better and faster doing it that way instead of continuous. When I would run the 5K’s my goal was to finish without stopping, but then I would get those people who would walk then run and walk and finish before me still so maybe that is the approach I need to go!  I love doing sprints and maybe that will give me more motivation.  I thought about running a 5K with the interval method but haven’t yet. I always thought continuous was better. I also feel that when I do intervals as opposed to continuous if I stop to walk even for a second, I tend to walk more with continuous running. (could be partly boredom too)

What type of plan do you use? What method do you use?

Well, I’d like to lose another 15 pounds, but I don’t know if I can. I’m stalled.

For specific fitness goals, I have a few. I’d like to be able to do 10 chin ups without stopping. My husband bought me a bar yesterday and installed in the doorway so I can practice. Right now I can do like, half a pull up, and I’m using my legs an awful lot to do that. But I’ll get better. I’d also like to be able to do nose to the floor pushups. I have spent the last 28 years with no upper body strength so I’m trying to build that up.
