1) You said that you discovered your own religious path at 12. If you had a kid that age and he/she has been discussing with you exploring other alternatives cause she/he doesn’t feel completely comfortable/right being JW, and then your child has an accident: would you reconsider the blood transfusion thing? why or why not?

2) how are you generally received in people’s homes when you witness door to door?

I think its great that you are answering everyone’s q’s. But… you really do this because you “Have to”? and you are “counting this as time”? Whats the deal with that? Shouldnt works come from an overflowing of the spirit (so to speak) and not so much from perscribed things that you “Have to” do? The way I understand it is that if you tell a starving/freezing person to be blessed and have food and warmth but dont actually GIVE them food, thats prob because you were too damn selfish to actually do it – which means that your heart hasnt really been changed by the knowledge you have of Jesus/God/Scripture, to me that would imply not actually being saved. So I dont see where the emphasis on doing deeds IN ORDER to be saved actually comes in. And having to “log your time spent witnessing” implies that you have to answer to a higher-up than you in the church about if you have “dont your deeds” or not. Ahh… idk if I’m making sense…. 😛

also, in doing what you believe is right for the child, if that means declining a blood transfusion for them that could save their life… then you are taking life and death into your own hands. Is this not something that should be left in God’s hands?
