I have a corner designated to wedding. I keep things boxes up and labeled, so that when we need it, we will be able to pull what we need and put it where it needs to go.

Haha not so much the apartment but what is worse, my bedroom! Half of my closet is invaded + a huge corner of my room with all my wedding favors, DIY centerpiece materials, paper lanterns, a million clear plastic cups for an ice cream bar that we are having, etc etc.

Man, I wish I was as organized as noritake22 with labels and all! πŸ™‚

So far I just try to accomodate everything as neatly as possible but as we buy more & more stuff it is getting harder & harder to keep it organized!

It was easy to keep everything in our storage spaces until the recent invitations project, and suddenly we have very little room on our dining room table to eat. πŸ™‚ Before that, it was a basic matter of being very proactive every time we brought new wedding-related items into the house, of finding a place for them in the “wedding closet” (our upstairs linen closet) or in one of the other storage spaces. It helps to get rid of large boxes immediately too, and simply store their contents.

Ive given up taking over my house.. I just decided to take up my parents! (even tho I dont live at home) Everytime I complete a project I takes heaps of pics… box it up and drop it off at my parents and put it in their spare room. My study is taken over by unfinished projects otherwise I would be living in chaos. I too have labeled boxes πŸ˜›

hah I can relate!

I work from home so have had to be really good about not letting wedding world invade my work space and our living space.

I have a Wedding Closet too! Once I compelte a project (programs, place cards, etc) I box them up, label them so they are ready to go for wedding week. For example “Programs — CHURCH” – Church Pew decorations are larger and are in two large plastic (clear) storage bins in the basement. and all our hotel box stuff is at my moms. We’re also having all the gifts shipped to her house to keep from cluttering our house. We’ll be hosting people here so I don’t want the extra mess around. I just go over to her place and open things when we are there on Sundays. – I get response cards sent here so that makes up for the gifts not coming here.

So I guess to cope, I just make sure to finish a project, box it up, and clean up the mess. I just get my craft box out when I need to work on something else.

I got married about a month ago and  my sister is getting married in September.  Our little brother just moved out of our parents’ house this winter.  His old bedroom has become the wedding room.  We both have been piling stuff up there.  I think my mom is getting tired of it though, since she made me take home all my wedding stuff the day after the wedding!

Right now it’s in the spare bedroom closet and on our dining room table but as I think about favors and linens etc. It’s going to take over the rest of the spare bedroom. I think if I can keep it all in one place then it won’t drive me crazy.

My entire dining rooms has been filled with wedding stuff!  I understand.  I can’t wait to clean the house again!

The thing I’m looking most forward to after the wedding and the honeymoon & getting home and organizing the house!  Starting on projects I’ve been putting off!  Can’t wait.

The wedding crap has expanded from its home in the guest room closet to take over the guest room. I have promised myself it will expand no further! Of course, that doesn’t count the 14 table runners that are staying at my parents house right now πŸ™‚

We had a friend staying in our third bedroom and thankfully she moved out a few months ago so all of our wedding crap is stuffed into that room now.  Our second bedroom is our game room/office so the wedding stuff couldn’t fit in there lol.  Everything was just kind of everywhere up until recently!

YES.  We live in 450 square feet and the wedding stuff is EVERYWHERE.  We can’t even eat at the kitchen table anymore because there’s nowhere else to put the wedding stuff.

My mom also has half the guest room in her house filled with wedding stuff too!

We have a “library” (it’s too small to be a third bedroom, so we store our extra books and crap there) that has become the wedding room. It is such a mess that I’ve literally just shut the door on it. The door is only opened when I need to chuck more wedding paraphernalia into the room, then it is closed again. My (wonderful but EXTREMELY tidy FMIL) is coming for a visit this weekend. I am seriously considering buying a padlock for that door! πŸ˜‰

Our guest bedroom has become our wedding room!  So much so, that I recently sold the bed and set up a giant table for crafting space!  It is completely a DIY-Wedding space now!   I like to pretend that after the wedding, it will become our nursery!  (It will eventually, but not anytime soon.)  In the mean time though, I have rolls of fabric and boxes of wedding craft projects all over it!

Our guest room closet has wedding stuff in it.  Otherwise, we’ve found cabinet space for all our unopened wedding gifts.  Its a good thing I sent a bunch of things to Goodwill a few months ago.
