Well, we had just had sex and were laying in bed naked, when he turned to me and said, “I think…I love you. Is that OK?”

It was all very romantic. LOL.

I gave him a hug, told him it was OK, and that I loved him too.

Our proposal story involves the bed and nudity, too. Hmmm…

We had just started dating and were talking online. I asked what he was thinking about (as I do) and he sent me this video, hahah

We were best friends before so we were used to saying we loved each other but that changed and we stopped saying it when we started dating. So for a while we would say “I’m in a whole lotta like with you.” Finally one afternoon before we left for a movie he hugged me and blurted out “I LOVE YOU!” then held me at arm’s length to gauge my reaction. I was tickled because it killed me not being able to tell him that I loved him but that the friend love I felt had developed into something much deeper.

I was 16 and he was 17. We were in his truck driving back home from Taco Bell and I think I said something cheesy, but I can’t remember exactly what it was. Anyway, it sparked his interest and he asked me, “So….. what? Are you falling for me or something?” I said, “I don’t know.” then he pestered me the entire ride back until finally I said, “FINE! I GUESS I LOVE YOU THEN. ARE YOU FUCKING HAPPY?” and he said that he loved me too and we ate our Taco Bell in celebration.

Yep.

@navybride0428:  That is so cute! It was like a mini-proposal. So sweet 🙂

Mine sounds more like AnAppleA_Day ‘s except I was the one to say it first. I just couldn’t hold it in! haha  We had only been dating for a couple of weeks but I was crazy about him and I just knew he was the one and only for me.  We were also laying in bed, just cuddling away and I looked up at him and said, “I know this is all happenign so fast but I think I love you.”  My heart was beating and I honestly didn’t expect him to say anything at all.  But then he said, “I think I love you too,” and then gave me a kiss.  🙂

I had to wait 8 months, was going crazy and thnking if it didn’t happen in the next month I was going to leave. I loved him 3 weeks in, but didnt tell him (but he could tell). I wanted him to say it first. But he was divorced and had a habit of jumping into relationships too fast. He wanted to take things slow. So I waited for him to be 100% confident. By month 7 I was insane. I asked him if we were ever going to move to the next level. Things were so good, he didnt want to rock the boat. Told me to be patient.

About a month later, as I was getting off the couch (just watching TV). I apparently said or did something cute. He casually said, “That’s why I love you…” (voice trailing off)I froze mid stand up (hoping if I didn’t move, I wouldn’t scare him). I looked at him–he had the most terrified look on his face. Yeah, he couldn’t beleive that it tumbled out either. So I just smiled at him and ignored it (but my heart did a little jig). Took him another 2 weeks to really say it (and I cant remember where or when).

But then I couldn’t shut him up. Previously, I was not a “I love you” all the time girl. I only did it occasionally, like super sweet moments. He said it all.the.time. Hello, goodbye and a thousand times in between. Took me a little while to get used to it. Now I can’t imagine not saying it all the time.

I had an apartment which I lived in alone at the time. He lived with his parents. He would come over on the weekends and either stay over or on Sunday, would leave really late at night.

So it was a Sunday. We were doing our usual hour long goodbye. He kept stalling leaving. Then I knew it was coming. He looked at me and goes “I feel like I’m in 5th grade and have a major crush and about to ask my 5th grade soulmate out” lmao it took a minute but he spit out “I love you” and it was freaking adorable.

We were in the car, and were going to a meeting, and as I was unbuckling my seat belt he locked the doors to which I of course turned to ask what was up because it was weird: he said I think I love you. I PANICKED so bad, he says my mouth dropped open and my eyes got huge I honestly can’t remember hahaha I then stuttered we are going to be late, opened the car door and walked out, left the car door open, forgot my purse and sweater just panicked hahaha I had never said it to anyone so it was a big deal, even if I did love him hahaha

We sat through the meeting, and at the end walked outside and he hugged me tight and said so you smell yummy and something romantic and what the hell? You panicked and ditched me! I mean no pressure or anything but it would be nice to have an answer or something… I laughed and said it back 🙂 He is my first everything and i love that

We went to the wedding of a friend of my family on 8/8/08; we had been dating for five months and I remember feeling really nervous inviting him to be my guest at a wedding after only a few months.  The reception was held at this big fancy mansion near my hometown, and the backyard had a pool and a patio with a bunch of tables.  We were the only ones back there at one point, and after spending a very long time staring into each others eyes, he said “I love you, [full name].”  I smiled and said “I love you back.”  It was such an wonderful, quiet, private, tender moment.

And we made sure to leave the reception before my parents, so we could go back to their house and have some pretty awesome sex 🙂

I was actually casually dating another guy when I met Fiance, as friends, though we grew into more much later on.  When that guy and I were on the verge of breaking up, my now-FI told me point blank, “I love you,” to which I replied, “don’t say that!” (I didn’t really believe him…now I know better!).  Then about a month or so into dating, he said it again after dropping me off at my house.  I count both times as our “I love you” moment…they’re both special in their own way 🙂
