My ideal proposal is simple. I just want it to be simple and I hope my bf isn’t planning anything to big. Just him and I and if someone is there to just take a pic of the moment that will be amazing. He knows how much I love pictures!

At this point? Any proposal he gives me! I don’t care if I’m in my Pj’s, not at a fancy expensive restaurant or event. I really don’t care, I just want to marry the guy already and anyway he did it would be special.

I just want our Dear Daughter there … Points if it’s in Disney world.

Simple. Private. Preferably with a heartfelt statement about why he wants to marry me, join our families, and spend the rest of our lives together.

herbanlove:  Man I have my perfect ideal proposal but at this point I think I am agreeing with you! I just want it to happen already and I don’t care how anymore. I just want to have the damn guy be my fiance already haha

We’re a bit older and have already made concrete wedding plans – date, location, everything is reserved, I’m going dress shopping in two weeks, etc. – but he is waiting until he chooses the ring to officially “propose” and so I hope he does it in a cute and romantic way since otherwise it would be like “uh, here you go, I guess it isn’t a surprise or anything”

Ideally, at the end of a romantic evening together (we are going away for a week in a couple of months and I bet he is going to do it then), with a sappy speech about how much he loves me ๐Ÿ˜€

beethree:  Exactly how I would answer! I was even going to use the word “heartfelt” hehe ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually knew when my fiance was going to propose. We chose the ring together and even got to help make it. He didn’t tell me when he was going to propose, but I figured it out. Really, it was quite wonderful to know. I wouldn’t have pictured myself knowing ahead of time, but having gone through it that way, I’d have to say that it really was pretty great.

I’d love for him to do it at a big party with all of our friends there! A “can I have your attention please” speech, then pop the question and celebrate because everyone is already there!

I think he’ll probably do something semi-public like that, and he might do it at my recital (I’m a senior music major in college) coming up in a few months. I’ll finish my final piece and there’ll be tons of applause, he’ll take the stage with flowers and give them to me, then drop to one knee and pull out a ring box! That would be amazing! My friends and family will all be there and the attention will already be on me from performing. I’ll be dressed very nice, have my nails done, I couldn’t think of a better time actually ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would like something sweet, heartfelt, and simple. I prefer to have a private proposal. I wouldn’t want to know its going to happen…so no fancy dinners or scavenger hunts lol.

Nothing crazy at all, nothing involving a bunch of people but I wouldn’t mind close family there. I’m a very simple person, I’d be very happy with anything simple ๐Ÿ™‚

My ideal proposal was actually what Fiance had planned. Scuba diving in southeast Asia, proposing underwater.

This didn’t happen – we both got sick just before our trip and couldn’t dive, and there was a hold up with the jeweler which meant that the ring wasn’t ready in time. But c’est la vie!

Mine would have been for us to go hiking somewhere and at whatever endpoint we reached, he’d ask me.  Basically a normal weekend day with a bonus.   And he’d do it of his own impulse, without me bugging him for a year   Can’t have it all, we’re still happily married now and that’s all that really matters, right?
