Simple.  Alone.  No cameras.–oh, and no enduring him dropping to one knee and coughing up a scripted line.  It’s always seemed so prissy and rote to me.  I got a romantic chat from the heart that included “get married ” and “April or December?”  I was so excited.  I chose December because I didn’t want to wait until Spring.   I never wanted anything fancier than that.

I don’t necessarily have an ideal proposal, per say. I just really really reaaaaaally want it to happen in 2016, preferably in the first half of the year! I’d just like it to be semi thoughtful. He’s got several golden opportunities that would be a perfect proposal within the next 6 months that would just be wasted if he doesn’t take them. So I’ll be a little disappointed if it hasn’t happened by mid July.

My fiance and I had a simple proposal after we took some time out to discuss our future together when he came to visit my family for Christmas. I was on the bed in a t-shirt and he got down on one knee. My mum made us change and made me do my makeup to take pictures after we told her we were engaged. I always thought it would be more spectacular but I’m happy it was what it was. I could tell in that moment how sincere he was about being with me for the rest of lives, something a more showy proposal might have obscured.  Though I always wanted a proposal at the top of the London Eye (Millenium Wheel) in London.

I don’t want anything where attention is drawn to me, I’m very shy so I would like to to be private and intimate.

We love going away for long weekends so I’d love it to happen when we are staying somewhere and can just have a few days to enjoy it alone (my older brother currently lives with us) however if he came home tonight and asked me I would love that too.

It’s corny, but when you are with the right person, non of it matters. With my ex-H I needed the big proposal and the perfect ring. It was very very important to me. Looking back, I can see it was because I was always unsure that he truly loved me so I needed that validation.

I know SO would move heaven and earth for me, I know he loves me more than anything.. So yeah. Even if there was no ring or proposal and he just said “let’s sign some papers and make this official” I’d be the happiest woman alive.

My ideal proposal would just HAPPEN ALREADY.

But, I would add bonus points for it involving some of our favorite Philly landmarks. Or a scavenger hunt. 😉

I’d love something very heartfelt where he expressed why he wanted me to be his wife and how he feels about me. Anything beyond that I don’t really care.

I used to have a few ‘dream proposals’, nothing extravagant just during a meal at a restaurant, on a bridge. Simple, quiet things.

But now it might be getting near I can’t imagine anything at all… I struggle to picture him actually proposing. Before we were officially together he told me he was the kind of guy who would want to do something super special – not big and showey but really personal – like the guy who made the video game and the similar one who used a modded Portal level.

Im kinda nervous…  I just want it to be nice and feel happy afterwards 🙂

My Ideal proposal would be private, just the two of us,somewhere that has a significance for us,a place we care about.I would like pictures of the moment, but other than that I prefer a private moment

My ideal proposal would be for him to propose at the same spot he asked me to be his girlfriend. I think it would be so sweet if he asked me to be his wife there *dreams*

A simple “lets go buy a ring” and I would be super happy 🙂

My dream proposal would be in the park that we were walking through one New Years Eve when he told me he wanted to marry me one day.

I’m really hoping he proposes while we’re on a hike!  I love going new places together.  Also, I feel like if he proposed while we were hiking somewhere, we could always have “our spot” and not have to worry about it closing or anything.  side note: we’re hiking tomorrow, fingers and toes are crossed!

My ideal proposal would be something simple and private, preferably in a cabin in the snow. This was exactly how Fiance proposed, however when we talked about marriage before getting engaged I was like “whatever you do, PLEASE do not do it in a public place!” lol, Im not a fan of being the center of attention and I wanted something intimate.

I’ll take pretty much anything and as much as I HATE being the center of attention, this is my third and final year planning a battle of the bands/one of the biggest events at my university and I just think it would be SO CUTE if he proposed on stage. I put my heart and soul into this event and have grown it so much and I love it and it would just make it so much more meaningful I guess.

Maybe I want this more than I thought

Edit: The event is 27 days from the end of my timeline. But he says he’s been planning for years and I haven’t been doing the event that long.
