I am tying the knot in June of next year, and am looking for some opinions concerning bridal attire.
We are having an evening ceremony, outdoors (in a field to be exact). The recepetion will follow in a beautiful barn overlooking the water (same location). We are going for a casual, vintage carnival/circus feel, with pastel colours, and fresh flowers picked from my Grandfather and Mother’s gardens.
My lovely Aunt will be making my ‘dress’ for me – I need to make some design decisions in the next few weeks, so she can get started.
I have decided to do an Ivory Satin and Tulle skirt, similar to the one below. I absolutely LOVE the bottom hem and the bow! The corset section will be lower, and the bow will be longer. (This skirt was found on Etsy)
All is need to decide now, is the top! Does anyone have any sugguestions? I am looking for something fairly simple. Your thoughts and examples are much appriciated!

The skirt and the bow appear to be the focal point of your dress. They draw the eye so much already (I realize there is no top to compete with it).
If I were you and this was my dress, I would go for a top that does not compete in any way with the bottom of your dress. Also, a top that would lend its hand to the simple airiness of the bottom of the dress. I would opt for something very laid back, like (maybe not identical, but inspired by) the top of this Monique Lhuillier gown:

You’re right! The bow and the skirt itself will be the focal point, so it’s important that the top is simple.
I LOVE the strapless sweetheart neckline, but unfortunatley I don’t think it will work for me (I should have mentioned this in my original message). I am very busty (36G) and wouldn’t feel comfortable in a strapless all night. We will be doing lots of differnet games and activies so I need to be able to move around.
Struggle, struggle, struggle. Hehe.

what about something like this? you could raise the neckline of the underdress underneathe for more coverage. I can’t seem to save the front of the dress but here’s the link to the picture: http://www.coralsbridal.com/2010-wedding-dress/1886-sexy-sheer-beaded-tulle-wedding-dress-wd10431-wd10431.html

or perhaps something like this? rosettes would be very soft and romantic.

I also love the idea of lace on the top with that tulle skirt as in the light pink dresses. very romantic 🙂
