This name was just a first name… but wow!

I work at a hospital and we were treating a 5 yr old little girl. Her name was Le-a. At first I thought it was pronounced Leah.. only to find out that her name was pronounced LeDasha. OMG what was her mother thinking!! Poor child!

I dated a guy with the last name ‘Prekker’. I was eating lunch with my grandpa one day and he asked me what my boyfriend’s last name was. I had to yell PREKKER! across the table a few times because he’s hard of hearing. I’m glad that guy wasn’t my soul mate.

If I took my FH’s name I would be Izz Gross (IS gross). So not changing my name 🙂

One from TV I find humourous is Mike Hawk. Very much in the same form as @AnneTossy

@PrncssDva: My third grade penpal from NYC (I lived in OH at the time) was named Michael Jackson! (Class project – the NYC school’s class had two more boys than girls, so lucky me was one of two girls in my class to get a boy penpal. We had absolutely nothing in common, as is the case with most third-grade boys and girls!)

@Ms Sassy: I went to school with a guy whose last name was “Dickie.” And a woman my family used to know had the last name “Butts” (or maybe it was spelled “Buttz” or “Butz,” but either way…). More of those “shouldn’t be names” names!

The spell-check on the computers at my HS always tried to change my current (maiden) name to “Reefer.” My friends got a pretty good kick out of that, as I’m about as straight-laced as they get (and was even moreso then), so they started calling me “Reefer” as a way to differentiate me from the other girl in group of the same first name as me. A couple of them still call me that today. lol

And Fiance works with a “Crown Prince.”

My friend told me about her friend’s sister, whose name is Anita Weiner.

I thought it was so funny and had to tell MY sister.  She then told me about the name of her dentist — Dr. Anita Fok.  I thought she was joking until she sent me the link to her website.  Unfortunately, it’s not a joke!!

There are several families in my area with the last name Boob. I know it gets worse than that, but by how much? There are also Buttses, and there is a Harry Butts out there somewhere.

My elementary school teachers last name was Hickie.

Oh and my best friend went to a very religious school with someone whose name was Rhoda Dick. Why would you name your poor daughter that?! Geez!
