Hello DIY Bee’s!
I am coming to the end of finishing my centerpieces and I just need some input on how to do my pumpkin scatter. I want the centerpiece to look elegant, but full. I got these small puka pods that look like pumpkins and sprayed them lightly with gold glitter for some fairy magic. 🙂 I really love how the puka pods look on the chocolate runner sattered across, but I don’t want it to look too much though. I haven’t decided on whether I am going to do just plain amber votice holders like the picture below or these awesome ones at pier 1 that are about twice the price, but are so cute in the link below!
Anyway, please look at my two version and let me know which you think will look better on a round table.

I voted scattered around the main centerpiece because I think that those pumpkins may get everywhere if you scatter them all over.

I think scattered all over looks a bit messy. Around the center looks tidy and cute.

where did you get those little pumpkins?

I think around the centerpieces and then a few scattered in the midle of the runner.

I ordered them from a seller on Etsy, but you can find them also on save on crafts. They are called puka pods. Then I wanted them to just have alittle glitter so I sprayed them lightly with krylon gold glitter blast. Below is the shop I got them from on etsy. If you message her she can get you them but they aren’t in her shop anymore.

are you having round tables or retangular tables?
i love those pier one votives.

I like the pier 1 votive holders as well… you could always give them to your bridesmaids or other special friends/family members afterwards.

They look really small/short. I think they might look tiny when you get them on your tables, and get lost in the mess of plates and various glasses. I do like them, though. Do you think maybe you could use those as aisle decor/cake table decor, and use something taller like branches in a fall-colored vase with autumn leaves as your centerpieces? If not, maybe there’s something you could do to make yours look taller or larger. I just worry they will get lost and not photograph well.

I know I am in the minority here, but I REALLY prefer them scattered! The runner looks a bit bare without it, in my opinion.
Very cool idea, by the way!

We could have either, but I am leaning towards the round just because linens are easier to find. 60 inch rounds that seat ten each

I didn’t want something tall. I don’t like when people can’t see eachother and my centerpeices part are finalized, just doing some final touches. No going back now!

That is a good idea!
Me too. I like the scattered too! But then again, I have a scatter brain so it just looks like home to me. 🙂

if you are having the round tables, then i like the pumpkins around the centrepiece. as pp mentioned, they are a bit short. the foliage, which i like, is covering up a lot of the lantern. do you think you could raise the lantern part of the centrepiece up a bit?
