I don’t think either one would be a “bad” choice, but personally, I’m one of those weirdos who hates sirloin. I would like having the option of chicken, pork, or a vegetarian option. Plus, what about your vegetarian guests with the second menu proposal?

Both options sound delicious, but I’d lean towards giving your guests more choices for the main course. Is there any way to “customize” the second option, perhaps by adding in a chicken or vegetarian selection?

I think it depends on the type of wedding you want.  Stations usually allow for a fair amount of mingling.  I would choose the second option but I only because I think it’s a fun alternative 🙂  I think either would be fine!

I’d go with the plated. While I love the idea of the stations, you’re ultimately limiting your guests to only beef. As a wedding guest, I like to have options.

I’m not a big fan of mash potatoe martini bars. I like seated dinners that ensure you get enough of a meal. It gives everyone time to have a seat while they’re eating. People usually talk while they eat, so it’s not like they will miss out on conversation. But like they said, it all depends on what style you’re wanting 🙂

I personally love love love mashed potatoes and would be thrilled to find them like this at a wedding. However, I do realize not everyone is quite as enthusiastic about them as me, and I think most people would prefer the first option as it has more choices for them.

I like the first option.

I like the plated option. It’s more elegant and sophisticated, and probably a little more affordable.

I think the second option sounds more fun. Sometime you can ask if you can add a ham carving station… But I’d like thesecond option, seems different and fun.
