I think it depends on where your wedding is. mine is at a Catholic Church, so it will consist of my grandmother, both sets of parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl & ringer bearer. Only people missing would be my groomie and best man

sunflower22:  my wedding is also in a Catholic church and the processional went as follows:

Groom’s parents

Bride’s family ( my mother was walking me down since my father passed away so I had my grandmother and aunt walk down together

Wedding Party (BMs and GM)

Flower Girl & Ring Bearer

Maid/Matron of Honor walked down by herself (the best man was at the altar with DH)

Myself (bride) and my mom

The set up of my ceremony space was such that anyone who was going to be on the “stage” had to walk in (no side entrances or anything).  We also didn’t have grandparents as part of the processional because there were stairs at the start of the aisle and a couple in the middle (the guest seats were on two levels that were separated by about 2 steps) and our grandmothers struggle with stairs.  We didn’t want to risk them falling (or even just being embarrased by struggling).  So, ours went:

Bride’s Mom, escorted by Bride’s Mom’s Fiance

Groom’s Mom with Ring Bearer (the ring bearer was DH’s nephew and he is only 2.5 years old, so he needed help. We didn’t have anyone obvious to walk DH’s in and since she is our ringbearer’s grandma, it made sense)

Best Man

Maid of Honor

Bride and Father of the Bride

8 – me and my dad, followed by our 6 bridesmaids. Darling Husband, our best man, and our other parents were all waiting at the front of the church. We’re in the UK so we didn’t have groomsmen, instead we had our brothers as ushers and again they were already sat in the church.

We chose not to have a wedding party but included our siblings in the processional.  It went groom with parents, groom’s two siblings, bride’s sister and her husband, ring bearer, two flower girls together, and bride with parents.

sunflower22:  Mine will consist of my two Bridesmaid or Best Man, Maid/Matron of Honor, myself and my father. My mother and Future Mother-In-Law will already be sitting at the front. Fiance will be at the front with his groomsmen. (I am getting married in a Catholic Church – all of our grandparents are deceased and we are not having a ring bearer or flower girl). Other option is bridesmaids walk down the aisle paired off with the gm and you can walk down with your Fiance. It’s really however you want.

We’re not being terribly traditional since it’s a Destination Wedding on the beach, but here’s our setup:

Groom’s parents

Bride’s parents

Bridesmaid #1 with Groomsmen #1

Bridesmaid #2 with Groomsmen #2

Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man

Bride walks alone down the aisle

Groom will seat his mother (end of prelude really)

Then processional music starts

Maid of Honour

Bride and her mother

There is a flower girl but she’s 2. I’m going to have her up front with the guys since she’s the best man’s daughter (fiance’s niece)

Pastor was already up there, and I didn’t consider grandparents as part of it. So I guess it would go Father-In-Law and my mom, Mother-In-Law and Darling Husband, wedding party (we had 3 each), my ring bearer, and me and my dad.

My husband didn’t want to be part of the processional, so he went and stood at the front. Then his mom and brother (the best man) walked out together, his dad and step-mom (his dad went and stood next to my husband), then my brother (the man of honor) and mom walked the aisle. My Maid/Matron of Honor walked out of the room where I was waiting, then the ring bearer and flower girl, then if walked out and met my dad at the top of the aisle. We walked down and rather than sitting down my dad behind us to stand next to my Father-In-Law. They are the ones who married us.
