I was ecstatic about my e-ring when I just got engaged. Rightfully so because he brought me ring shopping and bought it right there and then.  But, I’m ashamed to have succombed to size envy when my engagement bliss was hammered with negative comments on how small the stone is, or how it shan’t be yellow gold.

Anyways, those comments does hamper my joy for a while but didn’t stay long.  After all I am reminded of how much love was put into that “tiny stone” and how much the ring meant to me.  It sure wasn’t perfect and there would always be “better” rings / things out there.  But it is perfect for me.

dachshundpup15:  I think your ring is a showstopper on your hand! It is so elegant and beautifully made–your emerald diamond and side stones especially stand out beautifully. I am also in the camp that modest rings are always elegant and classy 😍

chigirl217bride:  Ooh Bee, I am drooling! Your ring is a dream ring!! Your Fiance designed the perfect elegant classic and sparkly setting to showcase your diamond! The 2mm band with your gorge stone is perfect on your hand too!!! 😍 I love the double prongs, and I do wish that mine was a smidge larger so my diamond could fit double prongs πŸ’πŸ˜ Have you chosen your wedding bands yet? I would love to see what you pair your beauty with!

My ring is a JA platinum petite pave cathedral 1.8mm band with a 1.2+ish stone? I don’t know the size or exact specs because he had never told me! I do know it is F color and IF clarity. I love it most because he is an engineer, and he loved customizing every aspect of a ring for me to wear forever, completely on his own (and in secret πŸ˜‚).

fancykitty:  Bridey77:  Wow thank you both! You’re right – it is so much easier to be objective when it’s not your ring in question. Some days I think i’m being silly and other times I think i want to change the setting. Ironically, it’s usually when I spend a lot of time on weddingbee that the insecurity creeps in. Perhaps after the wedding when I’m not on the Bee as much, my thinking will go back to normal! lol

Hi bees I wanted to start off by saying that all of your rings are beautiful but I especially wanted to comment on Giblets and AylaRabbit’s rings and say that I too have an I1 (most likely I2 as the cert. is from a not-so-reputable company) diamond and just love it. My I1 was actually an upgrade from a GIA XXX IF diamond and I just wasn’t in love with it the way I am with my I1 Radiant Star diamond. Honestly when comparing the two, my I1 Radiant Star sparkled way more then my GIA XXX IF in multiple light settings. I am glad to see other bees with lower clarity diamonds loving their rings also πŸ™‚

luckyladylaterinlife35:  Thanks! Do you find the drugstore acrylics to be damaging? I’ve never tried them but have been very tempted!

If your ring was given to you by the man you love, it can never be imperfect IMO.  Too much pressure to have a certain size, cut, clarity, etc…each ring is perfect for the person who receives it in love.  πŸ™‚

starla33:  a bit,  however, much less so than the salon acrylics, imo,  and you’re quite welcome  πŸ˜€

Sometimes I have my doubts, but honestly it’s so unqiue and its a family heirloom, it’s pretty irreplaceable and def. has a special place in my heart. It’s better than I imagined or anything me and Fiance could’ve picked out. Love my vintage ring!
