Everyone has their little quirks with their SO/FI/DH that other people might think is really weird.
Example: I feed my Fiance his stick of gum. I open the wrapper and everything lol. We also help each other with any blemishes we may find on each other.
How about you Bees?

Oh god, we’re embarassing.
We have a weird nickname for each other.
We speak mainly in movie/tv/video games quotes/references.

We meow to each other over the phone. Yes, meow, like cats 🙂 We find it cute and funny but I’m sure if someone overheard us they’d think we belong in the loony bin. We joke about it all the time 🙂

@vorpalette: Hahaha we do that sometimes too! “I just met you, but I love you!”
@MsMeow: I wish i could do that with my Fiance right meow…lol. That’s about the extent of our meowing, but I like to see we aren’t the only ones!

When we want something from one another, we both speak in a baby voice and coo, “But, bay babayy”.

@navybride0428: We’re far, far worse than that! I have a special ringtone for him on my cell and when he calls, I don’t answer the phone with “Hello”, I say “meow”. We also do happy meow, sad meow, disappointed meow, excited meow… you name it. I guess that totally explains my user name, doesn’t it? 🙂 Well, in our defence, his pet name for me is kitten 🙂

These are cuuute! XD
Sometimes we’ve been known to walk down the road and Boyfriend or Best Friend will say “gyu” and then I’ll respond with that and we’ll just kind of walk home saying “gyu” to each other. When we stop he says he hopes that no one heard us XD
When we first starting dating he also had this thing where before he got into bed he’d sing “sexual harassment… panda”. I was just like “whaat” lol
There are probably other things but those are the strangest :3

I talk in a baby voice a lot, lol. When Darling Husband wants a kiss, he’ll say “um, ‘scuse me?” and point to his lips or his cheek, LOL

We sing weird songs to each other, too. “Look At My Horse,” “Hot Cross Buns,” etc., but we change the words.

I love all of these!
I just remembered one that we do all the time and people always look at us funny. It’s a play on the exchange between Morgan Freeman and Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty, “It’s goooooood!” and they both get all big-eyed and pucker-lipped
So Fiance and I go “I love youuuuuu!!” In the same way, and we keep saying it until both our heads are thrown back just baying “I love YOOOOOUUU!” lmbo. My parents think we are so weird.

@vorpalette: lol we also sing songs to each other and change the words, mostly its about the other pooping on themselves or doing something ridiculous. i know immature right? or change lyrics to songs so they end up being about our cats.
we also have weird names for each other although his nicknames for me are much stranger. when one of our cats was a kitten he’d say it galloped like a horse so he started calling our cats horses and somehow it ended up being my nickname so he still calls me horse. like when we message each other he’ll say hi horse lol He also calls me face or something that ends in face: mean face, sad face, etc. my face is pretty round so mostly he calls me circle face.
whenever we’re sitting next to each other i like to play with his hands, i usually squish the webbed area in between his thumb and pointer finger. he also has a bad habit of always laying his head on me so that i can scratch his head and twirl his hair to make knots so i can pull them out. usually he says ”make knots” when he wants me to do it lol

LMAO YES! Ours are usually poop or something inappropriate. Sometimes cats, or being dumb, or something stupid and embarassing like that.

We make kissy sounds from across the room at each other. When we’re holding hands and have to separate to go around something like a lightpole, he’ll say “Bread and butter.” It’s something his mom used to say growing up and I guess it means something like “I love you and we go togther like bread and butter”. I have no idea, really, definitely a quirk.

I am someone who is highly against things like baby voices or “cooing” or things of that nature and im sure Fiance would look at me like I was quite the weirdo if I one day decided to speak to him in a strange voice like that, But there is one thing that we do and it makes me cringe to even write about it publicly lol. We call it the fish face. its mainly used as a way to request a kiss, its like making a kis noise with your lips but in an extended kind of way? thats the best way to describe it. we look like fishes when we do it, hence “the fish face”. there’s also the angry fish which comes out when one person is taking too long to respond to the original fish face signal.
I have no idea how this was started, I also joke with him that if our friends or family ever witnessed one of the fish face exchanges they would most definitely think we were crazy.

When Fiance and I talk, we can be a little sarcastic with each other, but only in a teasing way. It’s just the way we communicate. But it might come off to some people like we’re being argumentative. (FI and I hardly argue and we definitely don’t argue in public). Anyway, I didn’t realize it until Fiance mentioned it. We were out to dinner with another couple this past weekend and I guess they didn’t look all too comfortable while we were talking in our “special” way.
We also jinx each other a lot. We’ll say jinx, double jinx, triple jinx, etc. It always ends at quintuple jinx because we both become extremely tongue-tied. We have gotten strange stares from friends and family members. lol
