I take it off when I shower and sleep. It feels weird in the shower and uncomfortable on my hand in bed.

I take mine off before I got to bed and put it in the box it came in on the dresser.  I don’t put it back on until after the showering/getting ready process so I don’t get makeup and hair products all over it.

My jewelry box is on top of a lingerie chest right outside of my bathroom door in the bedroom so I just stick it in there.

I take my ring off when I shower because I’d be afraid of it falling off and going down the drain.  I also take it off when cooking anything with my hands or using harsh cleaning solutions.  Otherwise, I keep it on all the time… even when sleeping!

I take my ring off to shower and get ready, and when I sleep. I’m always afraid of it falling down the drain, or one of my cats getting at it while I’m sleeping.

ETA: I don’t cook or clean with it on either.

ETA again: When I’m not wearing it I put my ring in a small jewerly box Fiance gave me that sits on my bookshelf. Very low risk of falling down, unlikely to pop open, and I always put it there when it’s not on my finger.

I only take mine off to:

  • Shower
  • Clean
  • Cook
  • Use lotion

I put my ring in my ring box.

I never take mine off – even though its a spinner and can annoy me at times.. I know when I start taking it off I am going to lose it

ETA- unless I am cooking with raw meats or something equally as disgusting

Also – I love how sparkly it is in the shower 🙂

I take my ring off when I shower/ wash my face, do dirty yard work, or put lotion on. When it’s not on my hand, it’s in the master bath hanging out on the Waterford Crystal ring holder my grandmother got us as an engagement present (before that, in the ring box it came in).

I take mine off when I sleep and when I take a shower. I have a ring holder on my dresser where I keep them.. I don’t leave them on the sink because I worry they will get knocked off the sink and lost! There was one time I fell asleep on the couch and my engagement ring fell off. After a frantic search, I found it in between the cushions. Now I always take it off before bed, just in case!

I didn’t take my e-ring off ever, and when I went to have it cleaned before the wedding I got a lecture from the jewler. It’s an antique filigree ring so all the cut outs were full of gunk. Gross.

My wedding band is an antique too, with a lot of carved out detail, so I try to be better about taking it off. I usually take it off when I get home and change into comfy clothes for the night, and don’t put it back on until I leave the house the next day. The only bad thing is I forget to put it on sometimes, and hate to be out without it. I don’t wear my e-ring as much and my band.

I keep my ring on when I sleep (it’s low profile with no sharp edges so it’s comfortable), and I take it off right before I get in the shower.  I put the ring in the box it came in.  Then, I put it back on after I’ve put lotion on and done my hair and makeup (i don’t want it getting all dirty and gross from the products I use).  I also take it off to clean, cook, and do dishes.  I’m just mostly afraid of it falling down the drain!

I don’t think it’s a good idea to bring jewelary to the shower. There’s a simple old saying that i like to follow: “A real lady doesn’t bring her jewelary to bed.” Yes, it’s about bed, but i figured it would keep the ring in a better condition when i dont wash it on a regular basis.

Hope i could help! 🙂

I take mine off for bed, cleaning, or showering. I also don’t wear it around the house a lot. The diamond sits up high, so I tend to hit it on stuff, or scratch the kids with it. However, I NEVER leave the house without it! Mine sits in a divided tackle box type thing in my bathroom drawer while I’m not wearing it.
