I was/am having a really hard time in the waiting cycle now. Everyone is engaged/getting engaged/doesn’t ever want to be married and it has just been so incredibly hard for me recently.
So I am trying Mr. Bee’s plan about doing things to focus on you, and I thought it would be fun if we all share what we do! Pics too because that’s fun!
I’ll go first: while my new hobby/love/obsession will only last me until it gets cold, going out and riding my bike has been one of my saving graces. Then, instead of obsessing over waiting I can obsess over going out riding or buying pretty sparkly things for it. 🙂

I’m having a hard waiting time too. It sucks bawlz. 🙁
I don’t get to do it often because I have to save for plane tickets so I can go see him, but when I can, I’ll treat myself to lunch & do a little bit of shopping, or I’ll get something off Amazon that I’ve been eyeing. Recently I bought myself 2 books that I really want to read.
I don’t have any pictures because I’m on my guy’s computer in a different state, but if I did, I’d post a silly one. 🙂
Super cool that you ride a bike!

Thanks. It’s surprising how something obsessively fun can dull the waiting pains.

Waiting pains are definitely upon me! >.<

OP-That is bad ass! Good for you!

I’m seriously impressed! My father is going to teach me to drive his Harley and I’m SOO stoked. Very bad ass you are!

AWESOME pic!!! Very cool.
It seems like a lot of girls are in a bad waiting cycle, including me. I honestly don’t feel like Mr.Bee plan will work for me because I’m already independent and do my own thing. Anyway, as for my new hobby, it is YOGA! I started going in Feb and I LOVE it! I go 3 times a week. I’m not too flexible yet so I am determined to get my body suitable for various poses…!!!!

@FlamingRedHair: Wicked! Love this thread. I’ve been doing a few things to keep busy…
I’ve been taking photo’s and hoping to sell them one day. Here’s one:
I’ve also been working on a tattoo that I’ve wanted for AGES. Here it is… it’s not done yet though (sorry for the poor quality):

@FlamingRedHair: WOW! That looks so cool to ride/drive a motorcycle. Go girl! I wish I had one!
I don’t have any pics of any activities. I always treated myself, so it’s not that special if I do something extra. 🙁 Maybe if I did it big and bought a motorcycle, I could take a pic!LOL

Gwen your tattoo and your photography are both beautiful.
For anyone interested in learning about motorcycles I highly reccommend the Motorcycle Safety Foundation class. It’s free in PA, varies by state though. They treat you well, will show you all of the basics. Before the bike I had never driven a manual, let alone two wheels.

@FlamingRedHair: Second on the Motorcycle Safety Class! (My dad teaches, so what can I say, it runs in the family.
I haven’t totally put myself in the ‘waiting’ category yet, though that’s not really an excuse not to execute the plan (since it’s just great life advice). But I know that it’ll need to involve activities to challenge myself, as I think that’s when I am happiest. Exercising will definitely be part of it, but I’m wondering if setting reading goals might be another good one. Possibly cooking more, we’ll see!

@Heartly I sometimes have reading goals. Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of crap and I think I need to read a few classics. I haven’t decided on reading 3 or 5 but I’ll do it soon. I also want to read the books on my shelf that I’ve bought and have never read. So a reading goal is close for me!
My personal love is makeup. I like to read about it, watch youtube videos on it, and generally play with it. I decided I’m going to throw myself back into it and fall back in love, all over again. It is a borderline obsession but in the grand scheme of things, it’s way more healthy of an obsession than waiting/fantasizing about a proposal and a wedding when you’re not even close, like me.
