NO SODA. Period. Not diet soda. NO soda. That one has killed my friends in the past. I gave it up years ago and I can’t tell you the last time I craved it. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve had one for that matter. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s just sugar water, no nutritional value.

Another friend is working on losing weight. He used to weigh 300 lbs. He’s now down to about 220. He did it with home cooking and small meals. He swears by them and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about eating 6 small meals a day. It keeps your metabolism up and because you’re never starving at any point in the day you don’t accidentally overeat once dinner swings around.

Good luck! You’re a champ, taking on the 30 day shred. I would never be able to do it. You’re gonna be smoking hot on that beach. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a desk job so there’s no reason for me to be eating constantly all day out of boredom. Especially in the evening once I get home. I’ll get big cups of ice and munch on those when I’m bored and not hungry, but I’m “bored hungry.” Keeps my brain off of wanting to snack and keeps you hydrated. 

It dawned on me just a moment ago. ๐Ÿ™‚

@claireos: I used to eat ice all the time, I’d have a tray of ice to eat in front of hte tv.  I went to the doctor for something seemingly unrelated, and he asked me if I eat ice – I said yes, and apparently it’s a symptom of iron deficiency.  maybe not in your case, but just a heads up in case!

Good luck to you!! I would just say making sure you are actually eating enough – if you starve your body too much then it will start to store the fat and will really mess with your metabolism. Just stay away from junk food, eat fruits, lots of veggies, few carbs and you should be OK!
