I’m curious as to everyone’s wedding day plans! What’s the layout for your big day?
We are getting married at my cousin’s lake house on Saturday December 13th. We are staying there the Friday night before with our wedding party (2 groomsmen, 2 bridesmaids). The day of we are going to set everything up ourselves and seperate in the afternoon to get ready in our seperate rooms of the house. The girls have the upstairs master bedroom and bath and the guys have the downstairs bigger bedroom and bathroom.
The wedding is taking place on the beach beside the lake and immediately following will be pictures and the reception lakeside as well. We will have the tables set up without chairs on half of the beach area, and the chairs set up for the ceremony on the other half. Once the ceremony is over the chairs will be moved over to the tables for the meal and reception.
We are having a very laid back meal of burgers, hotdogs, and general cook out style food. Everyone loves to cook and we are trying to keep the food budget down so a cook out it is! The cake is an actual wedding cake done by a bakery in town (leaning towards publix. their cakes are yum!). Afterwards there will be drinks all around, of course.
The bridal party and certain friends are staying over Saturday night in the downstairs rooms and the next day (Sunday) we are going on the boat and jet skis, and probably cooking out steaks for our closest friends. The following week (Monday-Sunday) we will be staying at the lake house for our honeymoon and enjoying the hot tub, fireplaces, boat, and beautiful scenery.
Anyone else feel like sharing their general plans?

that sounds like a fun low pressure weekend.
(question to self: why aren’t we doing hotdogs and hamburgers?)
i’m not quite sure about everything yet but here’s an itinerary of what i do know…..
Day before: I will go and get my nails and lashes done that morning. do whatever running around still needs to be done (prayerfully, there wont be any, and i can just hang out and relax). Then I’ll check into my 2 bedroom suite that I reserved for 4 of my bms and I.
Then there will be the rehearsal at 6pm. Rehearsal Dinner by 7:30. and I hope to be back in my room with my pjs on by 10pm.
Day of: I’ll have an early rise to make my 6am hair appt. Get back to the room by 8am where it will be a flurry of makeup and I get dressed. Photog should be there by then and its pictures for everyone but my groom and I.
At 10:30ish (probably a bit earlier) The entourage should be making its way to the chapel, bc at 11am ITS SHOWTIME!
Then its party time: good food and fun for everyone…….things should wrap up by 5pm and then my new *husband* and I will head off to our honeymoon suite where we will spend the evening and nite being married.
Originally we were going to leave for our honeymoon on the following Monday but bc of the high cost of our honeymoon suite, we are cutting it to just one day (glad we will have all evening to enjoy it) and we will roll out for our yet to be determined honeymoon location by 2pm the following Sunday.
it will be all smiles and giggles until Friday. then we will return to my parents hometown. pack up the remaining bit of my stuff, throw the dog in the back and drive 9 hours to his apartment where I
will throw out most of his bachelor items work to make it our home.
