I seriously tried on tons of dresses…about 8 or 9 stores and when I tried on my dress …..I got that feeling and had tears and all!! Even before it was laced all the way up and 4 sizes too big I just knew!

I loved the bling, the trumpet fit and the train. I think the train is the most unique feature on my dress!

I choose my dress because I could alter it to my dream gown. The dress went from ballgown to A-line and I also added a sparkly belt.

I chose mine for a few different reasons:

1) I got the “whoa” factor from myself, the saleslady, and my mom.  I am critical of myself in pictures, but I put it on and it just felt awesome.  My Mom asked me if this is something I could see myself wearing 2 years from now, and I said, “yes.”  It is very similar to a lot of clothes I wear – simple but with a little something to make it pop.

2) Well below budget and the bodice fit almost perfectly.

3) It is somewhat unique.  I have never seen another bride wearing anything like this.

Here she is in her raw state:

@aliciaspinnet:  Your dress is gorgeous! It’s unique, but there’s also something very classic about it.

I chose this gown because of the beautiful Flange-Rosette with Blizzard Beading skirt! It was one of about 15 dresses I tried. I think it’s unique because although I’ve seen many ruffle skirts, I dont often see flange-rosettes like these. It stood out to me because of the gorgeous skirt, and then when I put it on I cried like a baby.

Here is my beauty. I couldn’t find it in a store so I had a friend of mine design a pattern and my grandma is making it, using some lace from my mom’s dress. I can’t wait to wear it. I choose the long sleeves beause I’m having a Christmas wedding.

I chose the Watters Sydney gown because I was in love with the shape of the back (with the long, pretty bow) and with the neckline.

And I adored how it was a satin skirt under a lace skirt under asymmetrical tulle layers. It just made the whole dress feel completely ethereal.

What made you choose the dress that you will be wearing on your wedding day? I really liked the fact that the lace is a cotton lace, it has pockets, it’s lightweight, and I have only seen one bride (on the Bee, none IRL) that has it.

What made it stand out from all the others that you tried on? I liked that it wasn’t heavy and it was a ballgown. I didn’t think I’d want a ballgown.

Was it the only one that you tried? I tried on 6 or 7 others.

Name ONE feature that YOU think is unique about your dress The lace, the floral details, and the pockets. I know pockets aren’t that unique, but it was the only dress I tried on with pockets and I haven’t seen many other dresses that have them.

@Ms_Purple:  I nearly bought this dress. It is gorgeous and I liked it a lot when I tried it on but I didn’t want to spend that much money at the time. So I ended up buying dresses online and having problems with those only to go back to a bridal shop and buy a dress from there that was even more expensive than if I had gotten the Alfred Angelo one in the first place lol

I picked my dress because I thought it was pretty and it made my ass look good.

I wasn’t worried about being unique or anything – it was MY only wedding dress, and no one I knew had been to many weddings recently.  Plus I’m a special snowflake anyway, and with a million dresses to choose from, what are the chances someone would pick the same dress, invite one of my 36 guests, and have an ass like mine?  Like 0%.

Yay let’s play.

The dress I chose was the only one of its kind in the bridal store. They had just bought the sample from a bridal shop that was closing and it was on sale from the 800’s to 380. I fell in love the second I saw it on the hanger and when it was on before I could even see myself. It was the one. I was in love!

I don’t have a pic, but it’s the same as Scorpio88’s, I’ve chosen the AA Cinderella 205. For me it was the glittery skirt, I completely fell in love with it! I can’t wait to get it out in sunlight and to be all sparkly!

I really, really fell in love with tiered lace dresses.  I came across Stella Wtoo online and LOVE the delicate simplicity (we will be having a casual wedding).  Better yet, I was able to find it BRAND NEW on a pre-owned wedding site, for $250!  It retails at close to $1400.  I also love that it’s very unique, and as much as I’ve tried to find photos of other people with this dress, I haven’t been able to!

I can’t wait to wear it!
