I chose my dress because I wanted a lace mermaid to fit in with our rustic wedding.  I saw the Stock Photo and fell completely in love.

I guess what makes it unique is the scalloped edging to the sweetheart neckline.  Most lace dresses I see are either straight bodices with scalloped edging or just sweetheart with no scalloping.  What also makes my dress unique is I will be changing the belt that it comes with for something more blingy.

Belt I will be wearing instead

@Zenostar:  No, it’s not Stella York, it’s Mori Lee 1862 🙂

Mine was custom made for me and I’m so excited to wear it. It’s blush pink satin with ivory lace overlay. This dress is “me” personified!

I absolutely loved my dress because it was simple and didn’t have a train.  I am not a dress girl and I thought the pick ups, the sash, and the veil were perfect to add a little fun to it!  And it was super comfortable

I chose mine in a flustered state of mind.  I was trying to find a beautiful, classic look and after they had put me in a bunch of trendy looks I snatched this one up.  I had a lot of regret afterwards because it wasn’t exactly what I had imagined.  But I wore a hoopskirt and added a blingy belt and felt like a beautiful princess on my wedding day.  I do think it will be timeless, too.

Mine was everything I wanted. From the beginning I had a dress in my head. I could see small details of it just not a clear image of the entire thing. I wanted a lot of beading on the bodice and a plain skirt with a sweetheart neckline. I went to 3 different shops. The 3rd shop I went to I tried about 7 dresses on. My consultant was awesome. She listened to everything I wanted.. I tried on a few and gave her my feedback.. What details I loved and didn’t like on dresses.. she said hold on I have one in mind I think you’ll love.. She goes to grab it but she said.. I want you to try it on last because I think it’s perfect. So I try on everything and she brings it to me and I said I love it.. We put it on and it was perfect. I love the neckline.. I love the beading on the bodice I love the scallop dips on the bottom of the bodice. It’s perfect!!

I designed mine after trying on a few (~20) dresses and find that there are certain things I like & dislike of each dress I tried. I basically incorporated all the bits I like into the one dress. As a result, my dress is very similar to a lot of the dresses out there but the little details like the pleats at the front, no train at the back, the way the lace was done so that there’s a V at the front bodice & a heart-shape at the back are what make my dress unique & special to me 🙂
