@MrsNeutrino:

Haha.. never would have thought that could be something to get on one’s nerves! Let’s see… I am not a big fan of shoving the cake into the brides mouth… like, AT ALL. I have warned my Fiance that if he does that… he ain’t gettin’ any on the wedding night Tongue out

When I see the Bride and Bridesmaids holding their flowers in front of their face. Call me anal but I think it should be held lower at your stomach. Cant get great pictures when the flowers are so high or even see the dresses.

i hate the kissing game, as well as other games at the reception.  i hate long toasts filled with inside jokes no one but the B&G think are funny

Oh man I’m such a cynic lol. I hate “I do” (I refuse to use those words), feeding cake (again, told Fiance that’s not going to happen), but especially “now presenting Mr and Mrs John Smith”. That actually makes me want to throw my laptop against the wall lol. I hate it so much and if anyone ever calls me “Mrs John Smith” they’ll quickly regret it. I have a name darnit.

@MrsNeutrino:I think it’s my inner-feminist. I am my own person and want to be referred to as such. As much as I love Fiance, I have my own name and would find it extremely disrespectful if someone called me “Mrs John Smith”. But to each their own 🙂 I have some friends who really like it too, it just makes me cringe lol.

I tend to dislike most wedding traditions :p thus my inner cynic comes out a bit haha

I don’t know if I’d call it a pet peeve, but I’m not a fan of the groom having the bride’s garter between his teeth…in public. 😉

@kittybutton: Yeah I agree, and way too many brides hold their flowers way too high! Should be held down closer to hips so you can see the dress!

I hate the bouquet toss.  I really hate when the DJ starts calling people out to come up when they didn’t go up to being with.  Thankfully that’s never happened to me, but I would probably say some not so nice things.

I didn’t encounter my pet peeve until last summer when I saw my first dollar dance and was horrified.  I hope I don’t offend anyone but it seemed so cheap to me…it’s like they were pimping out the bride for money.  I totally get that people do it but I have been to 4-5 weddings before and never encountered it.  Maybe if I grew up around it as a regular wedding event, I wouldn’t find it so irritating and disturbing.

Either a long wait between when the ceremony ends and the reception starts or a long drive between ceremony and reception. I like having everything all at one place, which is what we chose for our wedding. 🙂
