We got married at the TR Hotel in Tom’s River,  Nj.  The venue is beautiful,  and they were amazing.   Great deal as well.

tobelee0627:  We are really excited about it. We just stalked it this weekend to get measurements and it was the first time we got to see it in person without snow. It was so pretty and I imagine it will look so much better once everything blooms. Go check it out. And if you decide to go with it, don’t hesitate to contact me for recommendations/advice etc. I will also be selling all of my decor afterwards.

DesiMercedes:  Hi Desi, I’m thinking about getting married at Glenburn. How did your wedding go? What did Glenburn provide? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

caseygirl118:  Hi there. Check out my Recap with pictures from my wedding. It was pretty awesome. The Glenburn is a town-owned facility so you are left to your own devices for almost everything. But at the same time, that was great because there were no restrictions.

They provided us with the entire estate for 3 days for $500 which included the house, barn, pavilion, an acre of lawn, parking for 100 cars, 5 restrooms, (10) 60″ Round Tables, (6) 72″ Rectangular Tables, (99) Beige Metal Folding Chairs, and an array of random furniture from the house that we used out on the grounds (20 mismatched wood chairs, farm sweetheart table, 2 vintage floral arm chairs that we used for our sweetheart table, 2 wood side tables, and a beige hutch that we used for our favors).

Everything else was left to our own devices. We had a DOC to help us coordinate but I did all of the legwork as far as finding vendors. I also purchased a lot of my own stuff (which I am now selling if you are interested).

The eletric was tricky so we needed to rent a generator to run all the bistro lights that we wanted in the barn and tent.

Let me know if I can answer anything else. 🙂

Hi Desi! I just went to check out the location today and think it was great for what i’m looking for. If you can send me what you’re selling, that would be great!

Thanks

Casey

My reception is at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, NJ. (i guess that’s considered central-south Jersey?) It’s gorgeous inside- it has a huge ballroom and also a big area for cocktail hour inside. Depending on the season you could also do cocktail hour outside on their patio overlooking the golf course. Everyone I know who has been to a wedding there loved it and said good things about the food. I had some of the cocktail hour food at a bridal show and it was great! Also nice how they only do one event a night. It’s never listed on the wedding reception aggregators on the big wedding websites, for some reason, so it seems like a hidden gem. It’s early on in the planning for me but my coordinator seems awesome.

mccaffertyln:  Hi there. The generators were provided by the DOC we hired and were loud but were placed so far away from the action that you couldn’t hear them in any of the important areas.
