Can anyone recommend any YouTube channels for yoga or Pilates workouts? Fairly beginner focused I guess (I’ve done both for several years but only pregnancy and post natal yoga within the last 2 years so should probably start from scratch)
I can’t go to classes- literally every single one in my rural area is at a time I can’t go!

Yoga with Adrienne is my favourite for yoga videos. She’s a great yoga instructor and she does weave in all of the breathing and centering techniques, but does it in a way that isn’t irritatingly pretentious and corny. She’s kind of funny and awkward so it doesn’t come across as eye-rolly and preachy as some yoga instructors can be.
She also has a HUGE number of videos ranging in difficulty and lenght, or targeting certain body parts or goals.

Boho Beautiful! Her yoga and pilates classes are amazing (usually under half an hour) and the scenery in every video is breathtaking. Although it may be a bit more on the intermediate side, but you can take it slow!

Do you have a pilates ring? There are a bunch of great videos using the ring

pond : Fitness Blender has a great YouTube channel with lots of pilates and yoga workouts, thats how I started.
Blogilates is good too for pilates, some of them will kick your butt though!

I second Yoga with Adriene. I’ve been doing her videos for years, and every January she does a free 30 day challenge. You can do them in order and it’s like 5 months of uniturrupted daily yoga that don’t make you want to die but still challenge you.

pond : Yoga By Candance is my go to on YouTube. I took Yoga by Adrianne when I was first starting but she talks
WAY too much for me.

another vote for Yoga with Adrienne! I feel super relaxed after her videos and she has a bunch of different video lengths so you can always find something that fits your schedule.

Ok, legit question here. How tf are you supposed to do yoga while watching the video? I’ve tried it before and felt like I couldn’t get the poses right because I kept having to move my neck/head to look at the screen to see how to do the pose.

ilovelift : A good yoga teacher should give detailed enough cues that you shouldn’t have to stare at the screen. This is why I prefer Candace over Adrianne. Candace fills the dead space with form cues while Adrianne chit chats.

ilovelift : I have that issue with videos all the time and it screws up my form. The only option is to watch it a few times before actually doing it.

I really like Yoga with Tim. He’s got videos for all kinds of skill levels and he’s very good at explaining the poses and what they’re for.

pond : yoga with Sara Beth is my favorite. I also watch yoga with Adrienne and yoga with Kasandra. Sara Beth is my favorite because she doesn’t talk while as she takes us through the movements. She does a voice over.
