Bees, I need some help/suggestions!
I picked up my gorgeous one shoulder Alfred Angelo today! The dress is not embellished other than a large cluster of bling on top of the one shoulder. Ok, let me back up and say that while I was waiting for my dress to come in, I found my perfect veil, tiara comb, earrings and bracelet. Now, back to today, when I picked up my gown, I was able to get a better look at the bling on that shoulder, and I HATE it! Its more of the AB Swarovski crystals, and tiny tiny beads with some funky ass piece of tulle connecting it. It does not match any of the rhinestone accessories I bought. What to do!
I can start all over, and buy new veil, jewelry, hair comb, etc, to try to match the dress OR, when I take my dress for alterations, I could have my seamstress remove the “applique” I hate and have her add one that is the rhinestone match of my accessories. What do you think is the best way to go? I am thinking its easier to have the applique replaced on the gown instead of buying new everything over again. Here is a pic of whats on the gown now. Its OK, and lovely, sure, but Im not crazy about it. The crystals are clear but the “blue” you see is what the AB Crystals are (Aurora Borealis, because it shines rainbow when light hits it). And that tulle? Cheap looking to me!
