@TeamMcGowan: How small is it? What do your accessories look like/how much did you pay for them?

If your budget allows I would change the part that you dont like about the dress.

You can remove that without damaging the dress. I’d go that route – it seems easier.

I would get a really good, sharp seam ripper and CAREFULLY remove the applique. I would start with just taking off the AB crystals because I think that will work really well. Work carefully and re-secure anything connected to the removed crystals with some nice thread and a good sharp needle. It sounds frightening to do it yourself, but, if you have patience and some good light, it’s not hard.

@TeamMcGowan: Ah, gotchtya. MJ Trimming (mjtrim.com) has some pretty appliques if you are looking at that. Or try ebay so you can find something that really goes with it.

@TeamMcGowan: It looks like it could easily be removed by a seamstress. Like you said, if they need to remove it anyway to adjust the strap, she can replace it with something you like. That’s the route I’d take rather than buying all new accessories. You may want to talk with the seamstress, to make sure what you replace it with will be big enough to cover the area where the previous applique was.

I honestly don’t think it will make a difference, as in no one will be able to notice or I doubt it will show in pictures. But if it REALLY irritates you, I’m sure you can have it removed and replaced.
