My church does themes each year – so one year they had a theme of Christmas trees, and had loads of trees of different sizes around the church – four big ones, and little ones in the windows, with red and gold ribbons.

Another year it was holly, and there were beautiful holly-wreaths and displays around.

I’m sorry it doesn’t fit your theme though! Although – could you maybe volunteer to help decorate for Christmas to make it fit your theme? A white wintery Christmas display could look beautiful as well as fitting your colours!

Nobody cares about the ceremony deco. They will expect cheesy Christmas decor at the church! Focus on the beautiful all white theme at the reception!

@malouloune:  It should still look beautiful! Churches tend to pull out all the stops for Christmas decorations (it’s the biggest party, after all!), and look at it this way – it will show your wonderful reception decorations into sharp relief, because they’re so different. The contrast should emphasise them both.

And you get the added bonus of having two different tones in one set of wedding photos – a twofer!

I’m sure it will all work out. Definitely talk to them and see what if anything they would be willing to let you change for just your ceremony.
