How long ago did you buy the ring and insurance? Have you confirmed with the store they are going out of business?

Can you talk to them about refunding the insurance, or canceling the purchase entirely so you can go elsewhere?

If you’re still with in the 30 days…take it back and get your money back!

YES all stores are closing by the end of the year!

read my post….Avoid all Zales at all costs!

Did you pay it off that day?  If so then you’re out of the 30 day window.  But I can’t remember if it was 60/90 days.  You should check with other stores in the area to see if you can get it honored.

I didn’t hear anything about it. I certainly hope they’re not going out of business since my e-ring is from there and we paid for the lifetime insurance policy.

@Donnica22 that states from 2008.  They are closing by the end of the year.

this rumor has surfaced in 2008, 2009, 2010, and now 2011. until zales actually admits they’re going out of business or you see it on a reputable news site, don’t worry about it.

They are owned by Gordon Jewelers, so you may just be dealing with Gordon.  They may be chaning some store names and closing others.  Look into it further.

Always remember when making any purchase that there is no guarantee that any store will remain open for a “lifetime”.

If you have to pay extra for insurance, “free” maintenance etc, consumer reports will often recommend against such a purchase.
