Sorry, I don’t have any great advice because mine has spent more time in the shop than on my finger in the last month or so also and I’m frustrated myself!  (had it reset and they did a HORRIBLE sizing job, a diamond in my band broke after a week, etc…)

I hope we BOTH get our situations resolved SOON!!! 🙂

@weddingbelle87:  mine was a hassle at Zales too. It took much longer than what they had originally estimated to get it sized, and they didn’t call me when it was ready. I lost a diamond within hours. They couldn’t reset it so they had to make me a new ring (I wish I could have kept the original). So far it’s held up but I’m relieved to have gotten the insurance package. To be fair, the shoddy craftsmanship wasn’t the sales lady’s fault and she was very nice throughout the ordeal.

Unfortunately, I can’t see this situation getting much better. If I was in your situation, I would have the center stone removed and re-set into a better quality setting. Zales has a reputation for having things like this happen, and since all of their work is sent out (as far as I know), you’re not dealing with the people who will actually fix your ring when you go to the store.

@MrsMc77:  Can you post an image of your ring or a link to the ring that is having the issue?  I’m curious to see what about the setting could be causing all these issues.

@cmbr:  +1. i’d take all the stones and get a higher-quality setting. this is why we avoided chain stores altogether. they’re unfortunately notorious for this. :/
