Hello all! I came across this site last night as I was Googling Zales reviews.
I will provide a backstory first!
I am 22 & head over heels in love with my 27 year old boyfriend of (almost!) one year. As cliche as it may sound, we both knew from the beginning early stages of dating that we had found the one. He is my best friend & love of my life! I have never been closer to another person!
Back in June, he asked to take me ring shopping to begin getting an idea of what I like. I told him then I did not want him spending a lot of money. The price isn’t important to me. The meaning is.
In October, he asked to go again to narrow his ideas down to get closer to THE ring as well as find out my ring size. We searched jewelry shops & pawn shops & had several ideas. A few days later, he slipped & informed me that he was planning to propose on our anniverasary – November 24th! At first, I was disappointed, but quickly began to cherish the fact that we do indeed share everything with one another so it is just difficult for him to hold onto the information. He said he changed plans & has been trying to be sneaky, but keeps dropping obvious hints. I actually find it cute that he is so concerned with my input. 🙂
Last week, Zales released their online early Black Friday deals. We had already decided we loved their prices & styles the best so he had me create an online wish list. We decided to go with a diamond ring from their promise ring collection. Again, it’s about the meaning & not the price or title of the ring. I chose four, but told him which was my absolute favorite.
On payday, this past Thursday, he called me “sneakily” asking if I knew Zales shipping policies. I looked them up & told him. I know he ordered it that night as I walked into the room to find him on the computer with his wallet. I am playing like I don’t know, though. I don’t want to crush him.
He has further revealed that he is planning to propose on the 22nd (this upcoming Saturday!!) as we have decided to celebrate our anniversary that day as long as the ring comes in in time. I made the mistake of researching Zales & finding a ton of horrible stories/reviews. I keep telling myself to remember that people are more compelled to leave a review when unsatisfied rather than satisfied. I also keep telling myself that surely the true good reviews outweigh the bad considering they are still in business.
I also, unfortunately, read that for other people, it took 2 weeks to receive their rings so his proposal may be pushed back a bit.
Anyways, my point of this super long post is I would love to hear Zales success stories as I now have myself super nervous about their quality, customer service, & everything!!
Please share your success stories with me! & I apologize for such a lengthy post!
I am looking forward to chatting with everyone & using this site to help me once me journey truly begins! 🙂
