How about little Chinese take out boxes?

Or favor pastry boxes found in bulk online?

Wax paper folded into a little baggie?

You can buy FDA approved bags, check out Creative Bag, they have tons of stuff (it’s a Canadian company, but I’m sure there’s an American alternative, it’s a good website just for ideas even). They sell tons of little printed bags, as well as pastry boxes, etc. If she’s bent on the ziploc bag, maybe you could that in a muslin bag with your monogram or something stamped on it? That way she gets the “seal in the freshness” factor and you get something that’s prettier to look at!

@Gerbera: I think you’re right on the money with your suggestions. I second those!

I think the pasteries would get dried out in take out boxes.  I would go with some kind of box that prevents them from getting dried out

@bells:

Yea I don’t know how long they will end up sitting in these containers? Maybe leave in ziplock bags then into whatever decorative containers?

Those are great options!  I found some really cute bags I wanted to use for the wedding but ended up getting them for my shower instead at http://www.papermart.com/   My mom is putting cookies in ziploc style bags and then inside cotton bags.

Good luck!
