Start going for a brisk 1.5 hour walk every day or at least 5 days out of the week – you need to keep yourself active in order to keep your shape. It’s hard, and I feel ya, but you’ll feel so much better for it. And you don’t have to eat just salad and things, just take a proper look at your eating habits and figure out small changes here and there that’ll cut the calories and still fill you up.

Haha, yeah, 1.5 hours. You only really start to burn fat once you’ve warmed up and that alone will take 15 minutes, depending on how fast you walk. Then you need 15 minutes of a slow cool down walk at the end so you don’t keep panting when you sit back down at home. I’m sorry if I sounded harsh in that first message, I just know how hard it is to get the motivation up. Take a look at the Cook Yourself Thin books, they have some brilliant sweet recipes with half the calories of regular sweet things and taste just as good. Good luck!

I would recommend using the Weight Watcher’s point system.  It’s the only healthy way to truly monitor your intake and become aware of what you’re eating.  I am a thicker girl and it’s the only way I’ve really learned and lost at the same time.  In terms of exercise, I think an hour and a half walk five days a week is a bit extreme.  Of course, it would be fabulous to do, but in reality for many people it’s hard to find the time.  So, what I would recommend is the 30 Day Crunch by Jillian Micheal’s of the Biggest Loser.  It’s a 20-30 minute workout that has three different levels.  I lost weight immediately with this combination and I stuck to it longer than usual.  Another form of exercise I really enjoy is water aerobics.  Check your nearest Y or fitness center.  Good Luck!

Weight Watchers is the best diet I know of. Also, if dieting leaves you hungry then you’re doing it wrong. You can feel satisfied, just make sure it’s from eating the right kinds of foods.

WW is great, I agree! Lost 30 lbs and pretty much maintained since college. I am currently doing South Beach though as my wedding is in only 5 weeks! Balance out your eating and definitely get exercising. I find interval training much more effective. I do the elliptical or treadmil with a 2 min warm up then alternating 2 mins at the most I can do with a 1 min catch my breath and so on for 30 minutes at least. Keeps the heart rate up and burns most effectively I’ve heard. If you don’t want to be hungry, make sure you’re eating every 2-3 hours. 6 small meals or a healthy, hearty snack (like an apple, yogurt, portion of nuts) in between your 3 square meals. GOOD LUCK and YOU CAN SOOOOO DO THIS! Stay away from the donuts, is it really worth it? Think before you snack! Think of how you felt when it only zipped half way. OH! And write down what you eat, keeps you honest and on track!

Drinks lots and lots of water! As for exercise (in addition to the walking that is suggested) find something that is fun to do! Even though I recently joined a gym (I’m guessing I have a LOT more weight to lose than you), I took up tennis about four months ago and I LOVE it! Us bees know you can do it!!! Good luck!

Is there a gym near you that you could join that has classes? I usually work harder if I’m trying to keep up with people around me 🙂

Everytime you see a donut shop, just think about your dress…maybe carry a picture with you in your wallet to keep you motivated?

If you are eating properly, you shouldn’t be hungry.  Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains.  Those naturally keep you full unlike processed foods.

I hate exercising too, I find it really boring.  I’ve been doing 30 day shred because it’s only 20 minutes and I’ve really seen results.  I am really short and I have a tendency to be stocky.  For me, not spending another $150 to let my dress out was worth it.  It also feels really good to fit in a size 4P dress that I haven’t been able to do in years.  Before I eat anything, I ask myself if it’s worth it.  Most of the time that answer is no.  Count calories, make sure what you do eat is as unprocessed as possible and find some pretty strenuous activiity that you either like or can tolerate.  The Biggest Loser website also has some great meal plans.

The same thing happened to me! I recently started the Special K diet (not hard for me because I love cereal anyways) and taking Zumba classes. If you like dancing I’d give it a try!
