I ordered a ring and asked them ship it quickly, because I am leaving the country soon. After a couple of email exchanges i got this message:
“We were just notified by the vendor yesterday that the diamond was apparently lost in transit to us or stolen. We tried calling you but weren’t able to reach you.
This is of course the responsibility of our company so we are working on finding a suitable alternate and will let you know on Monday once we find a couple of options.
In the meantime, please let me know if you would require a change of address and we’ll be happy to update it for you.
I deeply apologize for this inconvenience which is of course no fault of yours and can assure you that we will find a solution for you as soon as possible.
Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time.”
Should I cancel that? It seems like they are running late and trying to buy themselves some time, or are trying to rip me off on the diamond.
