@future mrs kirsch: Please link some pics!  I’d love to see everything you mentioned.  🙂  I’m working on the invite design within the next 2 months.

Wow! That’s awesome! I live about an hour and a half from there, and we really wanted to have our wedding there but the family didn’t like it :/ I would have loved to use the Butterflies! venue. Good luck and have fun!

For those you having/had a wedding at Brookfield Zoo how are they with haggling prices?

Let’s say we do not plan on having the Ceremony at the zoo just the Reception would they cut you a break or deal on the price? Also the menu do they have cheaper offers besides what is in their brochure?

Same with DIY centerpieces again limit thiers from the budget?

I would love to have our Reception there, but I am afraid it is out of our price range if the zoo doesn’t work with you on the price.

We ended up using these awesome magnetic animal holders for our place cards. They worked perfectly and were fun but still classy. Ours was actually a barn wedding but you could totally do this for a zoo. I found them on etsy at http://www.originalanimalmagnet.etsy.com and hopefully they still make them as they were great to work with.
