My husband and I had this done a couple of weeks before the wedding.

OMG IT HURT SO BAD!  They did like 4 passes. Each time is about 10 minute or something. Sometime during the 2nd pass, I started to get shooting pains in my teeth and it got worse each time. She wanted to do one more and I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Afterwards, my teeth were sensitive and I got the occasional shooting pain.

That said, I looooooved the results. My teeth were super white!

Darling Husband said he wasn’t in as much pain as I was.

my fiance got it done about a year ago and said it hurt really bad. also he has kept up with uaing the whitening trays that go along with the process. i dont think that his teeth look any whiter. they looked really good the first couple weeks but thats about it. in the mean time i have been using intelliwhite *(got it from qvc) and it works awesome

@Theresa90405: I have to second you on this.  It was SOOOO painful! If you have a high tolerance for pain you may not mind it but OMG it hurts for days after.

My teeth were definitely whiter after but I still am not positive it was worth all that pain!

I was with my SIL when she got hers done, and I ended up looking after my neice for her because afterwards she was in so much pain. It was really intense! I want to try GoSmile, I’ve already tried Crest Whitestrips but they are such a pain in the butt

I think this is what I had? I don’t know if it was Zoom or a very similiar one. I remember there being a UV curing light and a lot of goop in my mouth. It didn’t hurt–it was just nasty because i keep salivating and wanting to spit. Having things in my mouth+lots of saliva made me gag a little. But my teeth got a LOT whiter. They were a little tender but nothing super painful. I think it cost around $200

My Mother-In-Law works for an orthodontist office, though, and gives me trays every 6 months. They work just as good, honestly–i imagine your dentist office has them for cheap. My dentist was running a sale for $150 on trays last time i went in.

Some people don’t respond to teeth whitening–my husband didn’t AT ALL. Mine definitely did.

I think my SIL paid about $500 or so

Hello!  I had Brite Smile done at their big fancy office on 57th St. in Manhattan.  I was debated Zoom at my dentist or Brite Smile, and the Brite Smile people convinced me with a good deal.  My experience was it did not hurt one bit.  I watched TV on a screen above me and every few minutes someone would check on me.  For the next 2 days i was only allowed to eat white foods.

My teeth were pretty white to begin with; I only went up 2 shades, but I maxed out on the whiteness scale. My teeth did not look like magazine teeth (which are not real), but they looked nice.  Another person in the office the same time as me went up 8-9 shades.

I would definitely do it again pre-wedding.

I have done Britesmile as well, and my teeth got noticeably whiter – probably because they were in bad shape from smoking (have quite since then) and my coffee/diet coke habit… this was about 4 years ago and i plan to go again. My teeth just got a little sensitive the first two days, no real pain.
